Restylane® and Perlane®
Restylane® is a natural, cosmetic dermal filler that restores volume and fullness to the skin to smooth out facial wrinkles and enhance lips. It is made of natural hyaluronic acid which already exists in the human body, therefore not requiring allergy testing prior to use. Restylane® is injected in small amounts underneath the skin with a small needle to fill in creases, lines, wrinkles and folds. Once Restylane® is injected into the skin it works with the body's own hyaluronic acid to create volume. Lasting 5 to 9 months, it then dissolves into water and departs your body without leaving a trace. Perlane® is the newest FDA approved item of the Restylane® family. Juvéderm™
Juvéderm™ is a "new generation" injectable filler made of hyaluronic acid, a naturally occurring sugar found in the human body. It is approved by the FDA to provide a smooth long-lasting correction of facial wrinkles and folds often lasting up to a year. Juvéderm™ adds volume and restores a smoother appearance to the skin by supplementing you body's own hyaluronic acid with the highest concentration of non-animal, cross-linked hyaluronic acid of any dermal filler currently available. This has made it feel smoother than many other hyaluronic acid fillers. It is natural, biodegradable, and currently the only hyaluronic dermal filler that has demonstrated safety and effectiveness in patients of all skin types and colors. Juvéderm™ Ultra and Juvéderm™ Ultra Plus are indicated for injection into the mid to deep dermis for correction of moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds (such as nasolabial folds).
EVOLENCE®
EVOLENCE® is collagen reinvented. The unique collagen in EVOLENCE® dermal filler represents a breakthrough in immediately restoring lost volume, shape, and structural support to correct moderate-to-deep facial wrinkles and folds with collagen that lasts. EVOLENCE® differs from other dermal fillers on the market because it is derived from highly purified porcine collagen. While collagen was previously very popular in enhancement of the lips, its rapid degradation meant that many treatments were required at short intervals. Evolence is the evolution of short-lived collagen and is FDA approved to last 12 months, and unlike previous collagen products does not require a skin test prior to injection. The collagen in Evolence, like the popular Hyaluronic Acid Fillers, has been naturally cross-linked, so it mimics the 3-dimensional structure of your skin's own collagen.
